SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA / ACCESS Newswire / October 14, 2026 / Americas Cardroom will introduce the Mystery PKO format in three Halloween Special events beginning this Sunday, Oct. 18. Available exclusively through the Winning Poker Network, the format combines hidden mystery prizes with accumulated progressive bounties.
The tournaments carry combined guarantees of $650,000. The $109 buy-in event guarantees $500,000, the $33 event guarantees $100,000 and the $5.50 event guarantees $50,000. Each tournament advances to Day 2 on Sunday, Nov. 1.
The bounty phase starts on Day 2. For every eligible elimination, a Mystery Bounty is revealed and divided equally: 50% is paid immediately to the player making the knockout, while 50% is added to that player's visible Progressive Bounty.
When the eliminated player has already accumulated a Progressive Bounty, that amount is also split equally. The eliminator collects half immediately and adds the other half to their own bounty. One knockout can consequently award money from both bounty components.
For illustration, eliminating an opponent with a $100 mystery prize and a $40 Progressive Bounty pays $70 immediately and increases the eliminator's bounty by $70. This hypothetical example explains the distribution; it does not represent advertised Halloween Special prize amounts.
The transferred portion of a revealed mystery prize remains available through subsequent eliminations. A player uncovering a major prize receives half in cash and carries the other half as part of their visible bounty, which opponents can pursue.
Players may participate in multiple Day 1 flights and combine qualifying stacks for Day 2. Starting-flight eliminations do not award bounty money, and every Day 2 participant begins with $0 in accumulated Progressive Bounty.
